The Triple Bottom Line

Sip to Live's success is measured by the Triple Bottom Line:  People, Planet, and Profit.  In times when the world is feeling the accumulated pain of years of corporate greed, the business community must re-evaluate its relationship with society.  Talib Kweli once explained that instant gratification means "they want the cash faster!"  For too many
businesses today, that is the mentality.  Instead of making things that people need, they make people think they need things.  We didn't create the need for tea- globally, it is the second most popular drink after water.  We blend incredible teas, and hope that the market appreciates our work.  How do we strive to maximize our triple bottom line performance?

People

We benefit people by offering healthy products, but Sip to Live is about more than just selling tea.  We also spread information about healthy ways of living and healthy ways of doing business.  We are working on ways to partner with the non-profit community, and especially with organizations such as the Peoples' Grocery  that are dedicated to ensuring EVERYONE's access to nutritious food.

As a small business, we are conscious of the fact that there are many people who want to make a living by harnessing the economic power of their own creativity.  We seek partnerships with other triple bottom line companies, and we support small businesses whenever possible.  Our website was done by Kreer , and our logo was done by Implica - two other independent, socially conscious business operations.  To the extent that we are successful, we provide concrete evidence of the fact that it can be done.  Believe in yourself and become infinity incorporated!

Planet

We are conscious of the impact that our business has on the natural environment.  All of our ingredients are organic, meaning they were grown without the use of harmful pesticides.  We buy most of our ingredients from local suppliers, which minimizes the amount of fossil fuels that are required to transport them.  Our office uses recycled paper, and when we get large enough will use environmentally friendly ink in our packaging.   We recycle to the extent possible, and make a conscious effort to minimize our waste output.

Profit

It goes without saying that businesses must break even to be sustainable.  We do not believe that the purpose of having money is to make more money, or that the goal of life is maximizing monetary wealth. However, we do recognize the importance of being financially viable in order to continue doing our thing.
